Wallin 2,000 days as a minister

On Friday, 22 June, Minister of Defence Stefan Wallin has served for 2,000 days as a minister. Wallin began his ministerial career in 2007 under the first Government of Prime Minister Vanhanen serving as Minister of the Environment from January to April. Stefan Wallin then served as the Minister of Culture and Sport from 19 April 2007 to 22 June 2011 under the second Vanhanen Government and the Government of Prime Minister Kiviniemi. He became the Minister of Defence on 22 June 2011.

The Government of Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen was appointed on 22 June 2011, so the current Government has been in office one year this Friday, 22 June.
