Government issued statement to Parliament on loan package to Spain

On Wednesday, 18 July, the Cabinet Committee on European Union Affairs discussed the government statement to Parliament on the programme designed to stabilise the financial system in Spain and the related state guarantee. The meeting of the Cabinet Committee was followed by a government plenary session where the Government made a decision on issuing a statement to Parliament.

The statement will be presented at a parliament plenary session on Thursday, 19 July, and any associated voting take place in a plenary session to be held on Friday, 20 July.
