Carl Haglund became Minister of Defence
On Thursday, 5 July, Party Leader Carl Haglund, Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration), took office as Minister of Defence in Prime Minister Katainen's Government.
Minister of Defence Carl Haglund took a judicial oath at the government plenary session which then decided on memberships in cabinet committees, ministerial deputies and the new minister's holidays. A report on Minister Haglund's personal interests was submitted to Parliament.
Minister of Defence Carl Haglund is a member of the Cabinet Finance Committee, Cabinet Committee on Foreign and Security Policy and Cabinet Committee on Economic Policy.
Marcus Rantala will continue as State Secretary to the Minister of Defence.
