It contains information about the Government, the implementation of the Government Programme and the activities of the Government and the Prime Minister’s Office, as well as topical material such as press releases by the ministries and public information about government decisions. The website provides information in Finnish, Swedish and English.

Media.government.fi is an online service for the media that requires registration. It provides invitations to press conferences and material on government decisions for use by the media.

The Prime Minister’s Office is responsible for its web services, which are maintained by the Government Communications Department at the Prime Minister's Office. All ministries produce information for the web services and are responsible for the content of the material they produce.

To read PDF files, you need the Adobe Reader program, which you can download free of charge.
The website contains embedded live streams and video recordings from a separate server, which are adapted to the device used.
