Minister for Foreign Affairs Tuomioja to the EU Foreign Ministers' Informal Meeting at Riga

Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja will attend the EU Foreign Ministers' Informal Meeting (Gymnich) at Riga from 6 to 7 March.

The two-day meeting will focus on Libya, the Ukraine situation and the EU-Russia relations. The ministers will also discuss the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) and the reform of the European Security Strategy (ESS).  Gymnich convenes biannually in the country that holds the Council Presidency. The meeting gets its name from the castle of Gymnich in Germany, where the first such meeting was held in 1974.
