Jukka Ihanus appointed as Special Adviser to Minister of Economic Affairs Lintilä

Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä has invited Master of Laws Jukka Ihanus (aged 39) to serve as his Special Adviser. Ihanus will take up his post on 1 August 2017. His responsibilities will include, for example matters related to industrial and business policy and innovation policy, and labour market matters.

Ihanus has worked as Director at the Finnish Confederation of Professionals STTK, where he has been responsible for, among other things, economic, industrial and education policy and public relations. Previously Ihanus has served, for example, as Special Adviser (political affairs) to Prime Ministers Matti Vanhanen and Mari Kiviniemi and as Legal Officer in the Office of the Centre Party Parliamentary Group.

The Special Adviser’s position became vacant when its previous holder, Hannu Väänäsen, returned to the private sector.
