On 7 September, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Kai Mykkänen is attending the main event celebrating Finland’s 100 at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology in Oslo.

Minister Mykkänen will open the business seminar Reboot neighbours, aimed at Norwegian business leaders, and the 100 objects from Finland exhibition at the Museum.

The Minister will discuss Norway’s experiences of electrifying transport and of international procurements. He will also meet representatives of Finnish businesses operating in Norway and discuss their experiences of the Norwegian market.

“Trade between Finland and Norway has increased by 7% in the last six months, but there is still room for improvement. In particular, I see potential in health technologies and cleantech”, says Mykkänen.

Finland’s centenary celebrations in Oslo also include a seminar on innovation training for teachers and children on 8 September and workshops on coding and architecture. The programme continues over the weekend of 9-10 September, including a family day for children presented by Moomintroll.
