General government fiscal plan for 2015–2018

Hallituksen kehysneuvottelut Säätytalossa 24. maaliskuuta 2014.

In the new public finances steering model, the current central government spending limits will be extended to become a general government fiscal plan. With the introduction of the plan, the Government wants to safeguard the sustainability of public finances.

The reform is timely as the EU is also enhancing member states' fiscal coordination. The new steering model will adopted at the beginning of 2015.

On 3 April 2014, the Government reached agreement on the general government fiscal plan and central government spending limits for 2015–2018. The plan and decision on spending limits were submitted to Parliament in the form of a report.
