Prime Minister Marin to attend video meeting of EU leaders

On Thursday 19 November, Prime Minister Sanna Marin will attend a videoconference of the members of the European Council on the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to strengthen the collective effort to combat the pandemic. 

Joint measures were also widely discussed at the European Council meeting on 15 October in Brussels and at the videoconference of EU Heads of State and Government on 29 October. 

The leaders of the EU Member States have stressed the need for closer cooperation in the fight against COVID-19. In particular, the Member States have been cooperating in the development of testing, tracing methods and vaccines.
