Prime Ministers Sipilä and May discuss Brexit

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May spoke by telephone on Wednesday about the United Kingdom’s withdrawal process and future relationship with the European Union. Prime Minister May called Prime Minister Sipilä in order to explain the United Kingdom’s plans and to hear Finland’s views.
Finland and the United Kingdom will continue to have a lot of shared interests in many different areas in the future. Finland’s aim is a balanced relationship between the EU and the UK that would secure the interests of both parties.
