Prime Minister Marin to attend EU summits in Brussels

Prime Minister Sanna Marin will attend the European Council in Brussels on 23–24 June, the meeting of the EU and Western Balkan leaders on 23 June, and the Euro Summit on 24 June. 

The topics of the European Council are support for Ukraine, economic situation, follow-up measures of the Conference on the Future of Europe and a strategic discussion on the EU’s relations with its partners in Europe. The EU leaders will also discuss the EU membership applications submitted by Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.

At their informal meeting on 23 June, the EU and Western Balkan leaders will discuss ways to activate the EU enlargement process, impacts of Russia’s war of aggression on Western Balkans and increased cooperation.

The topics of the Euro Summit are the economic situation and progress of the Banking Union and Capital Markets Union.
