Defence ministers from JEF partner nations meet in Edinburgh

The ministers of defence from the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) partner nations met in Edinburgh, Scotland on 9–10 November 2022. Teemu Penttilä, Director General of the Administration Policy Department at the Ministry of Defence, represented Finland at the meeting. Director General Penttilä attended the meeting in place of Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen.

In their meeting, the defence ministers discussed the security situation in Europe and the role of the JEF in Northern European security. They also visited a British-led training mission for Ukrainian soldiers, where Finns are also serving as trainers.
