The Defence Forces will procure more night vision equipment from Senop Oy. The equipment includes image intensifiers and laser sights as well as their spare parts.
The procurement will continue the systematic development of the infantry as image intensifiers and laser sights increase their night combat capability in demanding visibility conditions. The procurement will provide all Services with more image intensifiers and laser sights.
The overall value of the procurement without value added tax is about EUR 16 million, and a domestic employment effect is estimated at 53 person-years, including maintenance during the equipment life cycle.
