On Wednesday 29 June, the EU Heads of State or Government met informally to discuss the outcome of the UK referendum and action to be taken to enhance cooperation between the 27 Member States. They deeply regret the outcome of the referendum but respect the will expressed by a majority of the British people.
For Finland, it is important to have a common European resolve and vision of the future. We all recognise the economic added value of the Union, and the EU’s fundamental role in promoting peace, stability and security.
