The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed an expert group to carry out the assessment of the effects of Finland's possible NATO membership. In accordance with the Government Programme, the effects will be assessed in connection with the preparation of a Report on Finnish Foreign and Security Policy.

The assessment is expected to be available in the spring of 2016.
