Permanent Secretary Juusti to attend UN Peacekeeping ministerial meeting in New York

Permanent Secretary Jukka Juusti from the Ministry of Defence will represent Minister of Defence Jussi Niinistö at the United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial (UNPKDM) on Uniformed Capabilities, Performance and Protection in New York on 29 March 2019.
Dedicated to peacekeeping, the UNPKDM is the world's largest gathering of ministers. The goals for the meeting in New York are, first and foremost, to ensure that high-quality and highly capable troops are available for UN peacekeeping, member countries are committed to the training and capability requirements set by the UN, and to secure political support and networks for the reforms carried out in the UN.
In addition to Permanent Secretary Juusti, Finland will be represented by its UN Ambassador Kai Sauer.
