The EU Foreign Affairs Council convened in Luxembourg on 20 April. Finland's representative at the meeting was Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja. The topics on the Foreign Affairs Council agenda were Latin America, Libya and the review of the European Security Strategy. In addition, the meeting discussed Iran's nuclear programme and the situation in Yemen. Foreign Minister Tuomioja also participated in the meeting of the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries at foreign ministerial level, convening on the same day.
