On Friday, 5 July, the President of the Republic appointed Ambassador Pirjo Suomela-Chowdbury, Head of the Mission of Finland in Lusaka, to represent Finland also in Zimbabwe, and Ambassador Päivi Pohjanheimo, Head of the Mission of Finland in Mexico, to represent Finland also in Nicaragua.
The President of the Republic authorised Pertti Ikonen, Roving Ambassador for the Caribbean based at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, to represent Finland also in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Dominica and Jamaica.
