Eeva Kärkkäinen appointed as a Special Adviser to Prime Minister Sipilä

Journalist, Bachelor of Social Sciences Eeva Kärkkäinen (28) has been appointed as a Special Adviser to Prime Minister Juha Sipilä. She will also assist in the work of the ministerial group of the Centre Party in home affairs, after Satu Mäki-Lassila’s appointment as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services Annika Saarikko last spring. Kärkkäinen started in her post on 17 September.

Before that, she worked as a Political Journalist for the web publication MustRead.  She has also worked as Political Journalist for Suomenmaa, a Finnish newspaper politically aligned to the Centre Party, and as Parliamentary Assistant.

Kärkkäinen holds the Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Uppsala and now she is studying for a master’s degree at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Helsinki.
