Prime Minister Rinne to the Nordic Prime Ministers’ meeting in Reykjavik

Prime Minister Antti Rinne will attend the annual informal summer meeting of the Nordic Prime Ministers in Reykjavik, Iceland on 20 August. The agenda of the meeting includes the development of Nordic cooperation, climate policy measures and current international issues.

Besides the Nordic Prime Ministers, representatives of the Faroe Islands, Greenland and the Åland Islands and the Secretary-General of the Nordic Council of Ministers have also been invited. During the meeting the Nordic Prime Ministers will have a working lunch with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel in Reykjavik. The topics to be discussed during the lunch are the opportunities for cooperation between Germany and the Nordic countries, measures to combat climate change, and other global trends of our time. On Monday 19 August, Prime Minister Rinne will have a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir.
