Prime Minister Sipilä and Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen of Denmark to discuss Finland’s forthcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä and Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen of Denmark will meet in Copenhagen on Tuesday 13 November. The premiers will discuss Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU, which starts on 1 July, and other topical EU policy matters. Preparations for the EU’s next multiannual financial framework and the EU’s measures for managing migration flows are also on the agenda.

Besides the bilateral meeting between the prime ministers, Sipilä will also meet other prime ministers of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe group.  The meetings form part of Finland’s pre-Presidency series of meetings, where Prime Minister Sipilä will meet with the heads of all EU Member States before the start of Finland’s Presidency.
