Kristiina Hannula appointed as Director of STEA

On Wednesday, 28 June, the Finnish Government appointed Kristiina Hannula as Director of the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA).

She will take up this position on 1 September 2017.

Since 2012 Hannula has been working for the Finnish Association for Substance Abuse Prevention (EHYT), first as Director and from 2015 as Executive Director. During 2007–2011 she held the position of Executive Director of the Finnish Health Association NGO “Terveys – Hälsan”. Hannula holds the degree of Master of Sport and Health Sciences.

STEA is an independent State aid authority operating in connection with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. STEA manages the funding granted for projects which are non-profit by nature and promote health and wellbeing, from the gaming revenue of Veikkaus Oy.

The post of Director of STEA attracted a total of 47 applications.
