Minister of the Interior Päivi Räsänen condemns violence

Minister of the Interior Päivi Räsänen condemns all violent acts against freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. The police are currently conducting an investigation into the violent act committed in the Jyväskylä city library.

“The crime committed in Jyväskylä, its circumstances and possible links will be investigated by the police. They will work hard to establish the full circumstances leading to the incident, including motives of the perpetrators. It is important to wait for the results from the pre-trial investigation before drawing any further conclusions from this incident,” says Ms Räsänen.
