Jari Ylitalo appointed as Director of Government Security

On 2 April, the Government appointed General Staff Officer Jari Ylitalo as Ministerial Adviser at the Prime Minister's Office as of 1 May 2015. He will take up duties as Head of Preparedness Unit under the Government Administration Department over a five-year period and as Director of Government Security.

Jari Ylitalo has held the position as director of counterintelligence at the Investigation Division of the Defence Command since 2014. His previous positions include head of military counterintelligence from 2013 to 2014 and director responsible for the operative management and development of military counterintelligence from 2009 to 2012.
