Ministry for Foreign Affairs monitors coronavirus situation
Cases of pneumonia have been reported in Wuhan, China, and the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has been identified as the cause. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Finland’s missions in China are monitoring the situation with the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and they are in constant contact with key actors with regard to the situational picture and the necessary measures.
When necessary, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will update the travel bulletin to China. It is advisable to check the current version on our website. We recommend that you submit a travel notification if you are in China or plan to travel to China.
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) updates the latest information on the occurrence of the disease and the guidelines for the prevention of infections. The Institute cooperates with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
