Minister of Defence Niinistö to visit South Korea

Minister of Defence Jussi Niinistö will make an official visit to South Korea from 28 February to 3 March 2017. Minister Niinistö will sign a contract with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), representing the South Korean authorities, to acquire surplus K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers.

Minister Niinistö will also meet the South Korean Minister of Defence Han Min-goo and the Defence Acquisition Program Administration Minister Chang Myoung-jin. The ministers will discuss regional security, bilateral relations, defence and defence materiel cooperation, as well as other matters.
