Finland will host a maritime meeting between the EU and China on 17-19 June 2019 in Helsinki. It is an annual meeting and part of the implementation of the China-EU Maritime Transport Agreement.

Finland will host a maritime meeting between the EU and China on 17-19 June 2019 in Helsinki. It is an annual meeting and part of the implementation of the China-EU Maritime Transport Agreement.

The EU delegation will be led by Magda Kopczynska, Director of Waterbourne Transport and Ports Affairs at the Commission, and the Chinese delegation by Liu Peng, Deputy Director-General of Water Transport Bureau that operates under the Chinese Ministry of Transport.

The meeting will focus on topical matters in maritime transport, including maritime emissions, automation, development of the Arctic waterways and maritime safety.

Finland's representative at the meeting will be Director of Unit Päivi Antikainen.
