Prime Minister Sipilä and Prime Minister of Luxembourg Bettel to meet in Helsinki

Pääministeri Sipilä ja Luxemburgin pääministeri Xavier Bettel

On Tuesday 12 March, Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel will visit Finland to meet Prime Minister Juha Sipilä. The meeting will take place at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence Kesäranta, where the two prime minister’s will talk about the key themes for Finland’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU and other topical EU affairs.

During the Presidency Finland will focus on completing the Multiannual Financial Framework, i.e. the EU’s long-term budget, developing the Single Market, deepening cooperation in the EU’s security and defence policy, and more efficient Union action to mitigate climate change.

The last time Prime Minister Sipilä visited Luxembourg and met Prime Minister Bettel and the country’s other leaders was in March 2018.
