Prime Minister Sipilä to visit Washington

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä will make a working visit to Washington, D.C. on 26–28 November 2018. During his visit, the Prime Minister will meet with US political and economic leaders.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Finland and the United States, advance technological cooperation between the two countries and discuss the EU’s development and trans-Atlantic collaboration.

Prime Minister Sipilä will also speak at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., which is an internationally renowned meeting place for economic influencers and politicians.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied on his visit by a business delegation including representatives from ABB, Fortum, M-Files, Nokia and Wärtsilä.

A more detailed programme for the visit and a timetable for the media will be published within the next few days.
