Working group to assess the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis and explore ways to return to a sustainable growth path

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Finance have appointed a working group to prepare an expert assessment of the impact of the coronavirus crisis and of measures that can be used to limit the damage to the Finnish economy. The working group will also explore measures that could help to get Finland back on track towards sustainable growth, high employment and sustainable public finances after the crisis.

Vesa Vihriälä, D.Soc.Sc., Professor of Practice, Economics, has been invited to chair the working group. The other members of the group are Professor Bengt Holmström, Sixten Korkman, D.Soc.Sc., and Professor Roope Uusitalo.

The working group may consult other experts as it sees fit. The working group is required to complete its report by 1 May 2020.
