Government adopts plan to lift COVID-19 restrictions
At its meeting on 20 April, the Government adopted a plan to lift the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The Government discussed the feedback received on the plan and made clarifications based on the comments.

Government begun its mid-term policy review session

The mid-term policy review session and negotiations on the General Government Fiscal Plan for 2022–2025 will take place on 21 and 22 April. In the mid-term policy review session, the Government will decide on key policies for the rest of its term, deliberate on the General Government Fiscal Plan and assess the situation with regard to the implementation of the Government Programme.
The Government will also discuss its sustainability roadmap, which describes the current state of social, economic and ecological sustainability and the Government’s sustainability objectives moving towards the 2030s.

The Programme of Prime Minister Sanna Marin's Government "Inclusive and competent Finland – a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable society" was submitted to Parliament in the form of a Government statement on 10 December 2019.

Government in office
On 10 December 2019, the President of the Republic appointed Prime Minister Sanna Marin’s Government, which is Finland’s 76th government. Marin’s Government is formed by the Social Democratic Party, the Centre Party, the Greens, the Left Alliance and the Swedish People's Party of Finland. The Government has 19 ministers.
