Younger prime ministers

The average age of the Finnish prime ministers at the time of their appointment has been about 52 years, and over the past decades, more have been younger than older than the average. The latest prime minister to be appointed at more than 60 years of age was Martti Miettunen in the 1970s. The youngest prime minister so far, Sanna Marin, was appointed in December 2019.
