  1. 23.1.2026 | Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will visit Warsaw on 26–27 January with a business delegation focusing on comprehensive security and the energy industry. This will be the first Team Finland trade mission since the reform of its international operations.

The ministers will also take stock of the EU’s ongoing bilateral trade negotiations. The participation of Minister Tavio in the meeting has been cancelled. Finland will be represented by Finland’s EU Ambassador Jori Arvonen.

  3. 17.6.2026 | The EU heads of state and government will meet for the European Council in Brussels on 18–19 June. Discussions at the meeting will focus on Ukraine, the Middle East, global economic challenges for European competitiveness and the EU's multiannual financial framework (MFF) for 2028–2034. Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will represent Finland at the meeting.
