  55. Ministerial working group endorses energy saving programme in government premises - Finnish Government

    5.10.2022 | The central government will implement an extensive energy saving programme in its premises with the aim to help Finland overcome the current challenging energy situation. The Ministerial working group on developing the digital transformation, the data economy and public administration discussed the matter on 5 October. Minister of Local Government Sirpa Paatero fully took over as chair of the ministerial working group for the remainder of the government term.

  57. NIS2 Directive strengthens cybersecurity across the EU – National implementation launched in January - Finnish Government

    9.1.2023 | The revised Directive concerning the security of network and information systems (NIS2) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 27 December 2022. NIS2 will replace the earlier Directive concerning measures for a high common level of security of network and information systems across the Union (NIS). The Ministry of Transport and Communications launched the national implementation on 2 January 2023 to transpose the obligations of the new Directive into national law.

However, the targets set in 2017 were moderate and they were tightened in 2021 in the Roadmap for Fossil-free Transport.
