Teknologian ja tasa-arvon tematiikka on Suomelle tärkeä, ja Suomi toimii UN Womenin vetämän globaalin Generation Equality -kampanjan Teknologia ja innovaatiot tasa-arvon puolesta -toimintaryhmän yhtenä johtajana. Toimintaryhmä tapasi ensi kertaa kasvokkain istunnon ohessa. Suomi järjesti lisäksi korkean tason sivutapahtuman datan merkityksestä tasa-arvolle.

8.4.2021 | By the resolution on promoting a circular economy adopted today, on 7 April, the Finnish Government committed to reducing the consumption of unrenewable natural resources. The resolution also restricts the use of renewable natural resources in Finland: the total consumption of domestic primary raw materials in 2035 will not exceed the level in 2015*. The resolution is based on a vision that in 2035 the Finnish economy will be based on a carbon-neutral circular economy society.

The round table meeting included experts by experience, parties engaged with young people through preventive work and authorities.

12.4.2022 | On 12 April, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released preliminary data on development assistance by the EU Member States that are members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC). Finland’s official development cooperation expenditure in 2021 amounted to EUR 1214 million. Compared to the previous year, the highest increase was reported in development policy investments.

21.5.2024 | In 2020–2023, more than 50 projects tackling the shadow economy and economic crime were carried out in Finland. They succeeded in preventing abuses, promoting healthy competition between companies and supporting a fair labour market by improving the transparency and openness of business activities, for example.

6.6.2024 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment began to update the low-carbon roadmaps together with the sectors in autumn 2023. In accordance with the Programme of Prime Minister Orpo’s Government, the roadmaps from 2020 have now been updated to correspond to the changed operating environment and technological development of sectors and companies. This time, 14 sectors systematically investigated ways to decarbonisation.
