If demand starts to increase in late summer, total spending is estimated to shrink by around 40%, or more than EUR 6 billion. If, however, demand starts to recover only in the winter season of 2021–2022, total spending will decrease by about 50%, or around EUR 8 billion.

    9.9.2021 | The rescue and evacuation operation in Afghanistan was in many ways unique and historic. Finland evacuated more than 400 people from Afghanistan in three weeks. The relief team at Kabul Airport played a key role, but the input of dozens of people both in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki and in many foreign missions was also required.

    15.4.2021 | Instructions have now been created for the construction industry for assessing the risk of COVID-19 infections. According to the instructions, the main contractor of the construction site is responsible for having a general risk assessment made. Everyone working at the construction site must comply with the assessment-based measures. In addition, other employers involved in the construction site assess the risks of their operations.
