    16.11.2021 | Utan satellitnavigeringssystem (GNSS, Global Navigation Satellite System) skulle grunden för många arbeten och samhällsfunktioner försvinna. Digitala tjänster stöder sig på de satellittillhandahållna tids- och lokaliseringsuppgifter, med hjälp av vilka banktjänster och elnät fungerar, räddningsväsendet hittar försvunna och långtradarchaufförer lokaliserar timmerhögar. Ett nytt åtgärdsprogram för utveckling av satellitnavigering i Finland har publicerats den 16 november 2021.

  2. Close to EUR 100 million increase proposed for the Ministry of the Interior’s administrative branch - Finnish Government

    4.11.2021 | In the fourth supplementary budget for 2021, a net increase of EUR 99.7 million is proposed for the administrative branch of the Ministry of the Interior. This includes EUR 65 million for the procurement of new offshore patrol vessels for the Border Guard, EUR 30 million for safeguarding the operations of the police and EUR 10.38 million for the administrative branch’s expenditure arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and internal border controls.

  3. Finland to support COVID-19 response in India, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Niger - Finnish Government

    6.5.2021 | Finland will contribute EUR 3 million to the COVID-19 Emergency Appeal of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to help India, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Niger. Finland will help India with EUR 1 million and the other three countries with nearly EUR 500,000 each. The Finnish Red Cross will also provide material assistance.

  4. EU granted Finland funding for fighting forest fires - Finnish Government

    26.11.2021 | Finland has received EU funding to build a rescue team for fighting forest fires. The European Commission granted co-financing for a joint project of the rescue departments of South Karelia, North Karelia, South Savo, North Savo and Kymenlaakso for the procurement of special equipment required for a rescue team fighting forest fires.
