Their talks focused on bilateral political, trade and economic relations between the countries. They also discussed a variety of topical international issues. The prime ministers addressed the situation in Ukraine and the need for support, and shared their serious concerns about increased military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

  3. 12.12.2024 | On Thursday 12 December, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo gave a talk about Finland’s climate action at the University of Kyoto. After the talk, students had the opportunity to ask the Prime Minister questions about the topic. Orpo also paid a visit to the Osaka 2025 Expo grounds, where a joint Nordic pavilion is currently being built. Orpo is the first head of state or government to visit the World Expo grounds.
