18.11.2021 | The Government proposes that the Act on the Transport of Dangerous Goods be comprehensively reformed. The purpose is to harmonise the requirements on transport of dangerous goods by road, rail, vessel and air and to streamline legislation.  The aim of the reform is to improve the safety of transport and, in particular, to prevent possible environmental damage.

9.2.2021 | The State has concluded agreements with 16 urban areas to strengthen innovation activities. The objective of the agreements is to build innovation ecosystems, in other words, to intensify cooperation within networks, strengthen key competences and increase effectiveness of RDI activities. The content of the agreements is based on the local strengths of urban areas and they relate to comprehensive and current topics of carbon reduction, digital technology, and wellbeing and health.

4.5.2026 | Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet begär utlåtanden om den ändring som föreslås i 51 § i hälso- och sjukvårdslagen. Syftet med förslaget är att det ska bli möjligt att bedöma patienters vårdbehov digitalt med hjälp av automatisering. Patienten ska dock fortfarande ha rätt att få sitt vårdbehov bedömt av en yrkesutbildad person inom hälso- och sjukvården.

5.6.2026 | The EU Transport and Telecommunications Council will convene in Luxembourg on 8-9 June 2026. Finland will be represented by Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne on the Transport Council, and by State Secretary Marjo Lindgren on the Telecommunications Council.

8.6.2026 | Utrikeshandels- och utvecklingsminister Ville Tavio deltar i en Team Finland-exportfrämjande resa till Dalarna och Västmanland i Sverige den 9 – 10 juni. Till minister Tavios företagsdelegation hör representanter för åtta finländska företag på områdena automation, smarta data- och elnät, energiproduktion och molntjänster.

22.1.2026 | Regeringen föreslår att hälso- och sjukvårdslagen ska ändras för att möjliggöra teknologistödd bedömning av vårdbehov med medicintekniska produkter. I den gällande lagen föreskrivs det att bedömningarna av vårdbehovet ska göras av en yrkesutbildad person inom hälso- och sjukvården.

28.7.2026 | Rådet för bedömning av lagstiftningen har gett ett utlåtande till social- och hälsovårdsministeriet om utkastet till regeringens proposition med förslag till lagar om ändring av hälso- och sjukvårdslagen och lagen om behandling av kunduppgifter inom social- och hälsovården. Propositionen ger en bra uppfattning om dess bakgrund, målsättningar och centrala innehåll. Konsekvensbedömningarna bör ännu preciseras till flera delar innan regeringens proposition överlämnas.

8.6.2026 | Finland har i samband med EU:s råd för transport den 9 juni 2026 anslutit sig till medlemsstaternas gemensamma uttalande om ett projekt gällande omfattande multinationella testplattformar för autonoma fordon. Syftet är att främja testningen av automatiserade körsystem inom EU.
