  1. 21.3.2024 | On Thursday 21 March, the Government submitted a supplementary budget proposal for 2024 to Parliament. The proposal includes appropriations for speeding up the construction of the fence on the eastern border, introducing targeted measures to alleviate the situation in the construction sector and providing additional support to Ukraine.   3. 30.5.2024 | Finnish Government submitted to Parliament a proposal on the acceptance and bringing into force of the Defence Cooperation Agreement between Finland and the United States on 30 May. The proposal consists of the act bringing into force the agreement and ten related acts. According to the proposal, the acceptance of the agreement will require a two-thirds majority decision of Parliament.

Parliament, the Commission and the Council representing the EU Member States had reached a preliminary agreement on the proposals at the end of 2022.
