12.9.2024 | On 12 September 2024, the Government submitted a Union communication to Parliament outlining its positions on the Commission’s proposals for new Guidelines on State aid for land and multimodal transport and a new Transport Block Exemption Regulation. The Government welcomes the Commission’s proposals in principle.

21.9.2023 | The Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU will hold an informal meeting of transport ministers in Barcelona on 21–22 September 2023. Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne will represent Finland at the meeting. It will be an informal meeting where no decisions are taken.

During her visit, Ferreira will meet Minister of Economic Affairs Wille Rydman and attend an event on future EU regional and structural policy in Mikkeli on 21 September. 27.5.2024 | The World Health Organization (WHO) is holding its 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva on 27 May–1 June 2024. This is one of the most significant World Health Assembly meetings in years. Finland will be represented at the meeting by Minister of Social Security Sanni Grahn-Laasonen.

Kivimäki will meet representatives of OECD and the International Transport Forum as well as the ministries responsible for transport and communications matters, for example.

27.6.2022 | Minister for Nordic Cooperation and Equality, Thomas Blomqvist, will attend a meeting of the Ministers for Nordic Cooperation in Halden, Norway, on 27–28 June. One of the main topics of the meeting will be Nordic cooperation in times of crisis with a particular focus on the role of the ministers for Nordic cooperation in ensuring the exchange of information between the countries. At the meeting, ministers will adopt a joint declaration on cooperation during crises.

The funding in question concerns seven programmes under the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) objective, also known as Interreg programmes.
