  3. 20.11.2025 | In its meeting on Wednesday 19 November, the parliamentary research, development and innovation (RDI) monitoring group discussed central government funding for research and development (R&D). The monitoring group also received updates on the RDI outlook for businesses from the Confederation of Finnish Industries, the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries, the Federation of Finnish Enterprises and IQM Finland.

  4. 18.9.2025 | At its meeting on 16 September, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo lead the Research and Innovation Council in discussions on the implementation of national policies for the use of R&D funding. The Research and Innovation Council was briefed by the Research Council of Finland and Business Finland as well as two organisations that are implementing significant national R&D projects.

  5. 12.3.2025 | A survey by We Foundation shows that groups for extracurricular activity organised by municipalities free of charge as part of the school day provide the majority of the participants with a safe space that is free of bullying, discrimination and racism. The results confirm that groups based on the Finnish model for leisure activities increase student wellbeing and are the only opportunity for many children and young people to have a hobby. The survey covers 20 municipalities of different sizes.
