7.10.2021 | Launched by the Prime Minister’s Office on 7 October 2021, the Museum of Contemporary Emotions seeks to help people reflect on the emotions aroused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to recover from the crisis. The museum combines science and art in recording the feelings experienced during the pandemic in Finland.

22.3.2022 | Minister of Social Affairs and Health Hanna Sarkkinen will attend a meeting of the Nordic Council in Malmö on 22 March. The meeting will discuss the Nordic welfare model and its future.

2.12.2021 | Commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the project examines how equality, non-discrimination and diversity among staff members can be promoted in Finnish higher education institutions. Based on the study, concrete proposals for measures will be developed for higher education institutions and for national policy approaches.

28.10.2021 | Finland has ranked fifth in the Index measuring gender equality in the European Union. The Index measures the state of gender equality in a number of different domains, such as work, health and power.

28.4.2021 | The Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health awards the International Gender Equality Prize in 2021 and this year, it is given for the third time. The prize is indeed noteworthy, EUR 300,000. Candidates to re-ceive the prize may be nominated until 16 May 2021.

1.11.2021 | On Monday, 22 November, Tampere Hall in Tampere will host the International Gender Equality Prize award ceremony, which will announce the winner of the 2021 Award. The prize is awarded to a person or operator who has significantly promoted gender equality internationally. The prize will be presented by the Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin. The International Gender Equality Prize (IGEP) amounts to EUR 300,000.
