22.6.2022 | Beredningen av det transeuropeiska transportnätet, det vill säga TEN-T, fortsätter i juli under ledning av EU-ordförandelandet Tjeckien. Hittills har beredningen fungerat väl, och det arbete som gjorts ger goda förutsättningar för Finland med avseende på den kommande förordningsberedningen.

23.6.2021 | Giltighetstiden för behörigheterna för fartygspersonal förlängs på grund av läget som orsakats av coronaepidemin. Dessutom förlängs det undantag som gör det möjligt att bevilja dispens från den specialbehörighet som krävs för att arbeta på ett fartyg.

22.2.2022 | An informal meeting of the European Union transport ministers was held in Le Bourget, France, on 21-22 February 2022. Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harakka and High-Level Representative Mikael Nyberg represented Finland at the meeting.

3.12.2021 | Liikenne- ja viestintäministeri Timo Harakka pitää Suomen puheenvuoron Kansainvälisen merenkulkujärjestö IMO:n yleiskokouksessa 6.12.2021. Järjestön toimintaa koskevien päätösten lisäksi etäkokouksessa keskustellaan merenkulun ympäristö- ja turvallisuuskysymyksistä.

25.2.2021 | On 25 February, the Government submitted to Parliament a proposal for the first supplementary budget for 2021. The Government proposes additional funding of EUR 23.2 million to the administrative branch of the Ministry of Transport and Communications to support the operation of cargo and passenger shipping companies.

18.2.2021 | The Government is proposing that the validity of fixed-term ships' crew certificates of competency and certificates of proficiency be extended due to the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic. A derogation permitting a special dispensation from certificates of proficiency required on a vessel would also be extended. The derogations would be temporary.

22.8.2022 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications has appointed a monitoring group for the Transport Safety Strategy. It is tasked with monitoring the Strategy's implementation and effects. The term of the group is from 1 September 2022 to 31 December 2026.

18.2.2021 | The Government proposes that parallel bareboat registration be allowed in Finland for a maximum of five years at a time. It would be simultaneous with the registration of the vessel's right of ownership in another state. Parallel registration would be possible when a foreign vessel is chartered to Finland under the so-called bareboat chartering agreement (without crew).

3.9.2021 | Social- och hälsovårdsministeriet utfärdade torsdagen den 2 september 2021 en förordning genom vilken social- och hälsovårdsministeriets förordning om fartygsapotek (589/2015) ändras. Förord-ningen träder i kraft den 15 november 2021.

19.10.2021 | Internationella sjöfartsorganisationens (IMO) sjösäkerhetskommitté har beslutat att främja automationen inom sjöfarten och föreslår att lagstiftning som möjliggör automation ska börja beredas. Finland deltog aktivt i beredningen av beslutet.

19.10.2021 | The Marine Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has decided to promote autonomous shipping. It proposes the launching of preparations for regulations enabling autonomous maritime systems. Finland played an active role in the preparation of the decision.

25.10.2021 | Kommunikationsministeriet ordnade den 25 oktober 2021 det i ordningen fjärde diskussionsforumet för aktörer inom persontrafiken. Syftet med forumet är att förmedla myndighetsinformation och diskutera bästa praxis hos såväl stora som små tjänsteleverantörer.
