19.10.2021 | Policy Guidance on AI for Children, developed by the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF in partnership with Finland, was piloted by companies and public sector operators around the world during 2021. The second version of the guidance will be drafted on the basis of the results of the piloting and published in November 2021.

4.8.2022 | On 4 August, the government session and the presidential session appointed several persons to new positions in Helsinki and Finland’s missions abroad.

15.2.2022 | Finland joined the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) climate fund at the start of 2022. The NDC (nationally determined contributions) Pipeline Accelerator Multi-Donor Trust Fund, ACL in short, is one of the IDB’s main climate finance facilities. Finland's contribution is EUR 5 million.

5.3.2021 | Last year, the UN Children’s Fund UNICEF hosted a series of workshops for young people from different parts of the world in order to gather information about children's experiences of artificial intelligence (AI). The results of the consultations support global policy guidance.

20.3.2023 | Naisten asemaa käsittelevän toimikunnan 67. istunnon pääteema New Yorkissa 6.-17.3.2023 oli teknologia, innovaatiot ja koulutus. Teknologian ja tasa-arvon tematiikka on Suomelle tärkeä, ja Suomi toimii UN Womenin vetämän globaalin Generation Equality -kampanjan Teknologia ja innovaatiot tasa-arvon puolesta -toimintaryhmän yhtenä johtajana. Toimintaryhmä tapasi ensi kertaa kasvokkain istunnon ohessa. Suomi järjesti lisäksi korkean tason sivutapahtuman datan merkityksestä tasa-arvolle.
