Under-Secretary of State Anttonen leads a trade mission to Hungary

Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations Matti Anttonen will lead a Team Finland trade mission to Hungary on 22–24 November 2015.

The business delegation will consist of representatives from 11 enterprises. The aim of the visit is to find new cooperation opportunities between Finnish enterprises and organisations and their Hungarian counterparts, to promote the business activities of Finnish companies that have already established operations in Hungary, as well as to increase awareness of Finnish enterprises in the country.

"Hungary is geographically located at the heart of the EU's internal market. It has an advanced infrastructure, a long tradition of industries and trade, and an excellent environment for business business activities. There are good possibilities for Finland and Hungary to develop cooperation in, for example, environmental technology, mechanical industries, the forest sector, ICT and energy efficiency," Under-Secretary of State Anttonen says.

Finnish enterprises' projects are promoted in meetings at ministerial and company level and in seminars organised for networking. Under-Secretary of State Anttonen will meet his Hungarian colleagues in, for example, at the Ministry of National Development, Ministry of Interior and Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister as well as in meetings with the top leadership of the City of Budapest. The delegation will also visit Nokia Solutions and Networks R&D centre in Budapest.

The delegation is convened by Finpro and it will be led by Santtu Hulkkonen, Executive Vice President of Salved Ltd.

The following 11 enterprises will participate in the trade mission:  ÅF-Consult, Enersense International Oy, Ferroplan Oy, Fortum Power and Heat Oy, Gemalto Oy, Haklift Oy, Kpa Unicon Oy, Valmet Power Solutions Ltd, Saalasti Oy, Solved-The Cleantech Company Ltd and Tampere University of Technology.
