Behavioural science activities
Behavioural science activities are based on a multidisciplinary approach to changing human behaviour and decision-making.
The objective of the Finnish Behavioural Policy Team (FINBEPOL) is to promote and support a people-oriented, knowledge-based policy and administration that takes into account the specific characteristics of behaviour and decision-making.
Behavioural science innovations have influenced the development of administration in several policy areas and created new ways to support people’s wellbeing and ensure that their everyday lives can run smoothly.
Behavioural science makes it possible to solve even challenging social problems through good governance. By gaining a deeper understanding of citizens’ behaviour and by consulting with citizens, for example in connection with legislative drafting, we can make the structures and institutions in society more equitable.
