Henriikka Ahtiainen appointed as Press Officer to Moscow

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed Ms Henriikka Ahtiainen to serve as temporary Press Officer (cultural affairs) at the Embassy of Finland in Moscow. The three-year term will start at the beginning of August.

Ahtiainen has worked, for example, in Finnfacts where she was Communications Manager and also held other positions. She has a wide experience of both media and cultural environments and studies and work in Russia. She holds a Master in Social Sciences degree.

The Press Officer promotes awareness and builds up country branding of Finland in Russia especially by means of cultural export and events in cooperation with key partners and institutions. In addition, the tasks include general promotion of Finland and participation in the planning and implementation of communications relating to Team Finland projects.
