The consultation round on the Government Programme’s export-driven labour market model and the development of the conciliation system ended on 9 January 2024. In total, 70 comments were submitted.

The comments and the summary based on them will be discussed at an event on the development of the Finnish labour market model, organised by Minister of Employment Arto Satonen on 16 January 2024. Those who have participated in discussions between the labour market organisations on developing the model as well as the National Conciliator have been invited to the event.

In its programme, the Government outlined that the Finnish labour market negotiation system needs to be enhanced. The Government aims to strengthen the export-driven labour market model in order to boost Finland’s long-term competitiveness. The project is part of the Government’s package of labour market reforms.
