Finland and Sweden explore ways to deal with emerging threats in the information environment
A joint workshop and table top exercise to be conducted by Finnish authorities and ministries and the Swedish Government Offices in December will focus on how to respond to emerging threats in the information environment. The objective is to enhance cooperation and coordination between Finland and Sweden and to train public officials to identify, analyse and respond to attempts to influence through information.
The workshop and the table top exercise, to be held in Stockholm, will be attended by public officials representing various ministries and other bodies. The Prime Minister's Office and the Swedish Government Offices are in charge of the arrangements for the workshop and exercise, in cooperation with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap, MSB), the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence (NATO StratCom COE) and Lund University. Preparations for the workshop and exercise began in summer 2018.
